Research Area
During April, I will be traveling to Taiwan, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai undertaking
field research on digital Sound Art.
The purpose of this research is to establish:

- The extent to which Sound Art exists, its diversity and how it is understood in the Asian context
- What makes it different
- Development of an approach to a taxonomy of practice - Contact with a wide range of practicing artists
I attended the MiniMidi Festival in Beijing May 1-3. It was really inspiring to visit Beijing and experience the activity there in Sound and Performance Art. There was something truely avant garde there in a way that I hadn't experienced for a long time.
